Welcome to June's The
Month Ahead. We come to the longest day of the year this month so
make the most of the summer days. Let's have a look at some of the
traditional feasts and festivals, events and exhibitions that are
happening around the UK this month.
Gin
Festival - Ipswich, 2nd - 4th June;
Newcastle Upon Tyne, 9th -10th June;
Gloucester, 16th-17th June; Stoke on Trent
23rd-24th June; Leeds, 30th June-2nd
July. Join in the with growing trend for specialist gins with this
touring nationwide festival.
Chilli
Fest UK – Cheltenham, 3rd June; Merthyr, 10th
June; Southport, 17th June. Admission free. It's getting
hot, hot, hot with everything chilli coming to the streets of the UK.

2nd-3rd
June – The Investec Derby
Festival, Epsom, Surrey. More than just a single horse race with
hospitality options for all. The new Hillside Enclosure includes a
Family Zone and Garden Party.
7th-11th
June – RHS
Chatsworth Flower Show, Derbyshire. If you have enjoyed watching
the RHS Chelsea Flower Show then indulge in this new show set in the
grounds of the magnificent home of the Duke and Duchess of
Devonshire, Chatsworth House. The RHS are promising a show unlike any
other of their existing events.
9th-11th
June – Great
North Swim, Lake Windermere. Wetsuits at the ready as experienced
swimmers take on a variety of lengths in the iconic Lake District
waters.
10th-11th
June - Classic
and Vintage Commercial Show, British Motor Museum, Warwickshire –
A must for motor enthusiasts with over 400 pre 1997 commercial
vehicles plus autojumble and model show.
16th-18th
June – Eroica Britannia,
Buxton, Derbyshire. For all things vintage and cycling related head
to Eroica Britannia. As well as the pre-1987 bike ride there is a
full music line up as well.
16th-18th
June – FAB
Festival, Middlewich, Cheshire. An unique combination of music
and canal boating now in its 27th year.
17th-23rd
June – Broadstairs
Dickens Festival, Kent. Revel in all things Victorian wth a
celebration of the great writer Charles Dickens. Dress up or simply
spot others in their historical finery. There will be a series of
free events include The Grande Parade and beach party.
28th-29th
June – Royal Norfolk
Show. Head east to the Norfolk Showground for the annual county
show. As well as the traditional agricultural exhibits there will be
a food and drink show, air display from the RAF Falcons and art show.
