It's August so that can only
mean one thing at Renishaw Hall Gardens – hydrangeas. So it's time
to let the photographs do the talking. Feast your eyes on hydrangeas
of all colours and varieties. The lace caps with the tiny fertile
flowers in the middle surrounded by the large sterile petals.
Mopheads hydrangeas with large heads full of colourful flowers. The
thirsty Hydrangea
arborescens
'Annabelle'
were getting a drenching from the sprinkler. The small white flowers
making up the large bloom head make for a stunning display. That's
enough words now so just enjoy the display.

ReplyDeleteOoooo what a feast for the eyes! The hydrangeas are at their best this time of year. I am trying to dry a couple of blue heads at the moment; hopefully a little bit of colour will be preserved.
ReplyDeleteHydrangea heaven! I'm inspired now to find out which garden near us is in full hydrangea bloom.
ReplyDeleteI just want to shove my face in them and inhale all the hydrangea!!
ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas too and have a pink one in the garden. I love the huge mop head ones and wish I had the room for one. They look so good too in cut flower arrangements.
ReplyDeleteMy parents have a hydrangea. I love the way they are made up of little flowers
ReplyDeleteI've been surprised by the variety of hydrangeas I've seen on my uk trip
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHH!
ReplyDelete*head implodes with hydrangea goodness*
Well, I'm going to have to sit back and light a post-hydrangea cigarette now...
Beautiful - and it's motivated me to visit Exbury tomorrow to see theirs too :)
Thanks for joining in again Jibbery Jabs x
Stunning and so many varieties. Our poor hydrangea is getting swamped by an over zealous Japanese Rose but we have a new home planned for it where hopefully it will thrive. A friend also has an unusual mauve one that I am planning to take a cutting from.
ReplyDeleteWow that is a lot of hydrangeas - and so many types too. i really need to get myself one, but which one :)
