Memories of #AngelDelightMoments

When I was a child my Nan insisted on our evening dinner consisting of three courses. The starter was usually soup, followed by the main meal and then of course pudding. Although there was a variety of different things we used to have one which kept cropping up was Angel Delight. The flavour we always had was chocolate; in fact I'm not sure I knew that any other flavour existed until much later in life. Nan would always serve it with some tinned fruit – either segments of mandarin or peach slices. I liked both but I did always dread the peaches as there would always be some slices which still had a bit of peach stone attached to it.
Things have moved on in the last 30 years and since then by having my own children I have realised that there are other flavours of Angel Delight. Who knew that strawberry and butterscotch flavours were available? Now the range has been extended further with the arrival of the new Bubblegum flavour. In our house and as in many others' pudding is only allowed if all of the main meal has been eaten. What I like about Angel Delight is that it is made in minutes and so can be whipped up after all the plates have been emptied. We updated our version to include some fresh colour coordinating blush grapes and some broken pieces of cookie.

How do you like your Angel Delight? What's your favourite flavour?
