Have the garden inside and out

Easter is traditionally the start of the gardening year for many. With four days of a Bank Holiday weekend to enjoy it's time to think about what needs to be done in the garden. I know many people have started on their summer garden plans but as everyone knows there is always something to do in the garden!

Over the years I've had several forks and trowels but I've never invested in some good quality tools. I've come a cropper several times when trying to deal with a particularly troublesome weed (always a dandelion!) and ended up with either the handle bending or even worse it snapping in two! If you do a lot of work in the garden try the Wilkinson Sword Trowel and Weeding Fork. Both are made from carbon steel which is the strongest material that can be used to make garden tools. The tools are backed by Wilkinson Sword's 5 year guarantee so you can be sure of a good few years of digging.

If the Bank Holiday weather doesn't allow for getting out into the garden then take the chance to bring it in. I will always say cake can be eaten rain or shine and what better way to brighten afternoon teatime than with these Portmeirion pastry forks. Each of the handles are decorated with a different design and form part of the classic Botanic Garden range.

With so much to do in the garden and entertaining to organize shopping can be quite time consuming. Rather than trailing round the shops enjoy browsing all the items that Mill Race Garden Centre have to offer. From gardening to homewares plus everything you need for your pet and aquatics supplies it's the one-stop shop for you to get your garden looking its best both inside and out.

I was sent the above items. All words and photographs are my own.

  21. One thing I'm definitely not is a gardener, I can't even keep an indoor plant alive for very long. Beautiful forks though. :)
