Ryvita Crackerbreads review

Ryvita's new Crackerbread flavours

I'm always on the lookout for something different for lunch. It's very easy to fall into the rut of having a ham sandwich everyday. This is particularly so for me as my son demands an instant lunch the moment we arrive home from nursery. I was obviously rather pleased when I got the chance to try some of Ryvita's new Crackerbread range.

The first one is Pepper and there's no mistaking the flavour with this Crackerbread. It gives a very good hit of black pepper so would be perfect for jazzing up a plain flavour like some cream cheese or cottage cheese. As I like my scrambled eggs with a good few grinds of black pepper in it I thought I would give it a go and I wasn't disappointed. A word of warning though – don't hang around to photograph this combination as your Crackerbread may go a bit soggy!

The other new flavour is Cheese. Unlike the Pepper variety this isn't a strong taste but has just a hint of cheese to give the Crackerbread some interest. In fact this would be good for nibbling on its own. I gave it go with some Camembert and grapes and was very tempted to go make another portion. Both are very welcome additions to the Crackerbread range and the ever expanding Ryvita varieties.
